    Launch of KL Tourism Ambassador Programme

    Together with 1Malaysia 4 Youth (iM4U), the KL Tourism Ambassador Programme was launched with 40 energetic and passionate volunteers to assist tourists at tourist hotspots in KL. The Ambassadors will share accurate information, enhance visitor experience and represent KL in promoting local tourism opportunities.

    Launched in collaboration with MyTeksi, a local taxi booking application, Intel Technology Sdn. Bhd. and 14 tourist attractions, the initiative aims to increase tourists’ convenience in getting around the city.

    10.10 – Improve quality of budget hotels and match between hotel supply and demand

    A seminar was held to brief budget hotels on the new Budget Hotel Development Guidelines developed by Kuala Lumpur City Hall. Topics discussed included budget hotel licence application procedures, budget hotel classification, problems in budget lodging concepts as well as the 2020 Kuala Lumpur Draft Plan.

    Launch of The Official Guided Walk for Kampong Bharu – 'Jalan-Jalan @ Kampong Bharu'

    1.2 – Develop and diversify heritage trails and products
    Jalan-Jalan @ Kampong Bharu is the 3rd series of the Free Guided Walking Tours funded by Kuala Lumpur City Hall through its Tourism Unit. Similar to the Little India @ Brickfields and Dataran Merdeka Heritage Walk, the Kampong Bharu walk is part of an initiative to assist the development and diversification of heritage trails and products in KL.

    Launch of MUD: Our Story of Kuala Lumpur

    Kuala Lumpur City Hall and Enfiniti Vision Media have collaborated to bring “MUD: Our Story of Kuala Lumpur” to stage. This is part of the initiative to develop vibrant cultural events and arts scene. The heartwarming cultural musical is homed at Panggung Bandaraya and it aims to address the need to host regular cultural shows as a permanent fixture in KL to showcase its rich and diversified heritage & culture.
